Editorial Policy

Dermlore publishes educational skin care guides on adult acne, skin changes around menopause and skin barrier care. This policy explains the standards used to describe evidence and contributor responsibility.

Scope and limits

Guides and tools provide general information. They do not diagnose, prescribe or establish a doctor–patient relationship. Individual treatment and prescription decisions belong with a qualified clinician.

Sourcing standards

Claims should be supported by identifiable research or recognized clinical and regulatory sources. References link to the source and identify the publication where available. Study design, population, formulation and important uncertainty must be considered; association is not presented as proof of causation.

Contributors and medical review

The Dermlore editorial team is responsible for sourcing, editing, publication, corrections and maintaining editorial standards. “Written by” is used only for confirmed authorship. “Medically reviewed by” and review dates require a confirmed, article-specific review record. Dr. Bardov, the owner of Dermlore and a practicing dermatologist-venereologist trained and licensed in Ukraine, serves as dermatologist reviewer for content with a confirmed medical-review record. Ownership or editorial involvement does not mean every guide has completed medical review.

Corrections

Report a suspected error or source dispute through our contact page, including the page URL, the disputed statement and a supporting source if available. Reports can prompt assessment and correction. We do not promise a response deadline or a completed review before assessment.

Updates

Publication and content-update dates are shown separately. New guidance, evidence changes and reported errors can prompt reassessment. A content-update date is not a medical-review date. No fixed clinical review schedule is currently claimed.

Commercial separation and conflicts

Commercial relationships, where applicable, must be disclosed near affected content. Compensation must not be presented as evidence of effectiveness or individual suitability. Relevant contributor conflicts should be disclosed with the contribution. Dermlore participates in the Amazon Associates program; product links are labelled and disclosed — see our Affiliate Disclosure and How We Choose Products.

Workflow transparency

Editorial standards apply to the published claims and sources regardless of drafting tools. Automated source or wording checks are not a clinician’s medical review. Article-level review status must remain accurate.
