About Dermlore

Skin care education for adult acne, skin changes around menopause and skin barrier care. Practical explanations, identifiable sources and clear limits on general advice.

Who we help

For skin that changes over time.

Our English-language guides help adults understand skin concerns, treatment evidence and everyday care. The site is written for a general, primarily US-based audience.

The three topics connect practical skin care with questions that may need clinical assessment. Our guides do not diagnose conditions or replace care from a clinician licensed where you live.

How we use evidence

Sources you can follow.

References favor published medical research and recognized clinical or regulatory guidance relevant to each claim. Study populations, different formulations and limits of small or observational studies matter.

We aim for restrained claims rather than promises. Our editorial policy explains sourcing, corrections and content updates.

Medical review

Clear roles. Specific review status.

Editorial responsibility and completed medical review are separate. A confirmed review identifies the clinician and review date on that article.

Publication and content-update dates are not medical review dates. A contributor’s involvement does not imply that every article has completed medical review.

Accountability

People and a path for corrections.

The Dermlore editorial team is responsible for sourcing, editing, publication, corrections and maintaining the site’s editorial standards. Medical-review status is recorded separately and only claimed where a review has actually been completed.

Readers can report a correction or source dispute with the page and the issue so it can be assessed.

Funding and disclosures

Commercial relationships, where applicable, must be disclosed alongside affected content. A product mention is not a guarantee of individual benefit. See our affiliate disclosure and medical disclaimer.
